A Turkish dessert recipe by Foodplanet by Mahreen
Turkish desserts are known for their unique flavor all over the world and Turkish cuisine has a variety of delicious ingredients like honey, nuts, pistachio, almonds, and cream. Among all this range Turkish Lokum Rolls are a great fit for taste and uniqueness, I’m just sharing my experience to make it my way at home and really it turned out great, this Lokum Rolls delight is of creamy texture and worth eating when chilled.
Ingredients:
- Milk 1 cup
- White flour 1 cup
- sugar 1 cup
- Cardamom 4 to 5
- Butter 2 tbs
- dedicated coconut 300 gram
- whipping cream 200 gram
- nuts for garnishing
- icing sugar 2 tbs
- vanilla essence 1 tsp
Method:
In a pan take 1 liter of milk, add sugar, white flour, and butter, add cardamom, and mix with a hand mixer to make it smooth, and stir until it gets thick. In a wide tray /dish spread coconut powder and drizzle the mixture over it, keep it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Meanwhile, in a bowl whip the cream with vanilla essence and sugar until it makes soft peaks, keep the mixture out of the refrigerator and spread the whipping cream over it, refrigerate again for half an hour and then cut into long strips and fold the rolls, garnish with pistachio and almonds and serve chilled.
